Google Calendar — Web/Desktop Browser
Open Google Calendar in a browser
Next to Other calendars (left sidebar), click + → From URL
Paste the .ics link → click Add calendar
It appears under Other calendars. Updates sync roughly every 24 hours (Google controls the refresh interval — you can’t speed this up).
Google Calendar — Mobile App (Android/iOS)
You cannot subscribe to a calendar via URL/ICS link directly in the Google Calendar mobile app. Google restricts URL-based subscriptions to the desktop/mobile-browser version of Calendar.
The workaround:
On your phone, open a browser (not the app) → go to calendar.google.com
Log in and follow the “From URL” steps above
Once added on the web, it will automatically show up in the Google Calendar mobile app on the same account — no separate mobile step needed.
Outlook Desktop (Classic — Outlook 365 through 2016)
Calendar view → Home tab → Add Calendar → From Internet
Paste the .ics link → OK
Click Yes to confirm you want to subscribe and receive updates
It appears in your folder pane and syncs automatically going forward.
New Outlook for Windows
Calendar view → click Add calendar (above the calendar list)
Select Subscribe from web
Paste the .ics URL, optionally set a custom name/color
Click Import
Outlook on the Web (Outlook.com / personal)
Calendar → Add calendar
Choose Subscribe from web
Paste the ICS URL, give it a name → confirm/Import
It shows up under your calendar list and refreshes periodically.
Apple Calendar (iCloud) — Mac
File → New Calendar Subscription
Paste the .ics or webcal:// link → Subscribe
Set your preferred auto-refresh interval (every 15 min / hourly / daily / weekly / no auto-refresh) and choose whether to sync alerts/attachments
Click OK
Apple Calendar — iOS/iPadOS
Settings → Calendar → Accounts → Add Account → Other
Tap Add Subscribed Calendar
Paste the .ics/webcal link → Next → Save
Yahoo Calendar / Fastmail / Proton / other webcal-based apps
Look for Add Calendar → From URL / Subscribe / Import Calendar in settings, then paste the same .ics link.
