The 13th Annual Veterans Day Car Show in Bastrop took place starting at 0700 hrs for me and John C. John actually signed up for judging and took 1st Place in the military vehicle division. I had been asked to set up next to the DJ/Presentation stage to enhance the military emphasis for the event. I was more than happy but the speakers were less than 20 feet away which made for a long day. When John arrived they placed him right behind me instead of being in a different location. They wanted us both up front. It was a very good day. Bastrop and surrounding areas are a source of a surprising number of vets. John and I thoroughly enjoyed the car show and will do it again next year.
