Sun City WW2 Breakfast 2016

8 October 2016 Event: Sun City WW2 Breakfast Location: Cowan Creek Golf Course (Building 3) Sun City Texas

Lone Star MVPA was invited to attend a Purple Heart sponsored event in Sun City. The event was a breakfast for WW2 veterans and all other veterans. The event started at 08:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Club members were asked to come before 07:30 to set up their vehicles and displays. Our host provided a location for our vehicles in the front entrance. We had Jim H’s M38A1 and Rory C’s Mule with 50 cal set up on the sidewalk. Madison H had his M37A1 in front of the building in a prime parking slot. Jim H and Madison H set up small displays just behind the M37A1. Trent P and Barry F both in airborne uniform were a big hit. All the vehicles and displays were well visited and some war stories came forth. These were great American veterans and well deserved our thanks.

Breakfast was served to around 100 people and was also served to club members. There was a singing group and other music provided during the meal. The menu was SOS, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, link sausage and toast. The best thing was the coffee. It was better than any Army coffee.
