Round Rock 4th of July Parade 2013

4 July 2013 Event: Round Rock 4th of July Parade Location: Round Rock, Texas

Event: Round Rock Independence Day Parade
Attendees: Clint D / Scott S
Assets: 1971 M35A2 / 1939 Colson bicycle

A rather late parade placed on the schedule this year, the Lone Star MVPA provided support for Team RWB in their efforts to raise awareness for and provide support services for the re-integration of returning veterans. Approximately 24 Team RWB members were present who either rode in the M35A2 or walked in front of the truck with their banners. Scott let one of the Team RWB members ride the bicycle for the event.

The staging was complete around 0900hrs with the parade beginning at 1000hrs. The parade meandered about 1.75 miles round-trip through downtown Round Rock. Crowds were very close to the street, requiring safety personnel to walk beside the vehicle. At the turn point, photos were taken and many riders returned to staging in the vehicle. After the parade everyone met for lunch at Salt Lick BBQ.
