June 27, 2010
Sam R and his M35, Charles H. and his M1009, and Rick H and his GPW attended the Military Appreciation Day Round Rock Express Baseball Game on Monday 27 June. We arrived at 1500 for some reason, and set up just outside the stadium. The weather was clear and 101. We were able to go inside the stadium to cool off and watch batting practice before the statium opened. The game started at 7:05. In the middle of the 4th inning Rick drove Spike, the mascot, around the field while t-shirts were fired into the crowd. There was a good crowd including about 3000 veterans. There was a lot of interest in the vehicles. Overall it was a good event.
