EVENT: Bluebonnet Festival parade
LOCATION: Burnet, TX
DATE: Saturday 9 April 2022
We were invited by the Air Museum in Burnet to participate with them in the annual Bluebonnet Festival parade. This is held in downtown Burnet, with participants from all around the area. The weather was perfect, sunny and warm, but not hot.
Jeff C led us in his DeSoto staff car, followed by Bob H with his M151A2, Rory in the M931A2, Panda in the M1028A2 with M1102 trailer, and Austin W with his big BOV armoured car and Humvee. We carried several passengers with us.
This is typical of small town parades, the whole population and that of many surrounding communities all come out to watch. A better crowd than I’ve seen for a parade in Austin!
We have been invited to make this an annual event for LSMVPA.
