We were back at the Burnet Airshow this year, in our usual spot under the trees. We were cramped for space because one of our members misjudged the room needed and gave up some of our display area to another show participant before all the vehicles arrived. The air show itself was a good one, and the weather was splendid – warm, dry and clear. The attendance by the public is thought to be the highest ever.

Air displays included a Vietnam-era camouflaged A-10 from the USAF display team, the C-47 ‘Thats All Brother’, and an HU-16 Albatross flying boat.

The dog tag pictured is one of those that was aboard the C-47 ‘Bluebonnet Belle’ when she crashed and burned in Burnet, enroute to the Oshkosh air show, a sad event indeed.
