We were scheduled to participate in the Memorial Day ceremonies in Burnet, including a parade and vehicle display afterwards. Most of us assembled in Bertram from various points, intending to convoy from there to Burnet together.
Alas, the weather was against us. It had rained hard all night, and though light rain was falling as we assembled, it got progressively heavier. Before we left Bertram, we got the word that the parade route and display area were flooded already, and all ceremonies were being cancelled due to the ongoing heavy rain, which ended up lasting the rest of the day.
Participants assembled included Scott P, Kelly P, Andy P and family, Bob P, John T, Kyle P, Amanda C, and Rory C.
